Our proven granite export packaging process

At StoneBucks International, we’ve put in place a rigorous quality inspection system at every critical stage. Our in house team of quality control professionals inspects every slab and tile, using high end tools and global standards to keep the quality in check.

• 1.Moisture resistant wooden crates & pallets:
  
  We employ heat treated, fumigated wooden crates that are quality compliant, eliminating any threat of pest infestation. Each crate is made to withstand long haul shipping whether by sea or land. All included elements are made moisture-free to prevent any warping or fungal growth during transit.
• 2. Plastic wrapping & foam layering:
  
  Before putting granite products into crates, our packaging experts cover each slab or tile in high quality plastic film. This helps lock out dust, moisture and scratches. In order to avoid friction and other types of damage, we insert EPE foam sheets or thermocol sheets between each granite surface.
• 3.Edge safety:
  
  Granite edges are known to be highly vulnerable during transit. Therefore, we use rubber or foam corner guards for products like countertops and polished slabs.
• 4.Strapping & strengthening:
  
  Each crate is thoroughly secured with galvanized metal straps and polypropylene bands to avert any kind of shifting during the transit. Moreover, crates are additionally strengthened with metal or plastic clips for better structural integrity during stacking and container loading.
• 5.Labeling:
  
  Every single crate is perfectly labeled with product details, batch numbers, size and handling guidelines.
• 5.Waterproofing & out covering:
  
  After the packaging is done, the crate is wrapped with a waterproof polythene sheet or tarpaulin wrap, to protect it from rain, ocean spray and container sweat.
• 5.Container Stuffing & Loading:
  
  Our logistics team ensures tight container stuffing with appropriate dunnage to leave no space for shifting during sea freight. We use blocking materials, wooden bars and moisture absorbers (desiccants) as per the requirement.
